Please pray for Petey, my brother's dog. He has been sick the last few weeks and the vet hasn't been able to figure out the cause. Petey is only 4 years old and has changed owners a few times but is the sweetest dog. He is very loving. My brother and his family has only had him since November but we all love him dearly. His calcium levels are too high but the cause is unknown. Thanks for praying for him to get better and for the cause of his problem to be revealed.

The true light has come into the world
I love music. The main reason I love music is because it is how I best communicate with God. It is a mystery how God communicates, one that I don't fully understand but I'm glad when I hear Him.
Today the Lord took me on a journey from singing about His love to creating a new song about His light. After singing it through many times and catching on to the melody I started to realize what the Lord was trying to say. He wanted to remind me that His light is always shining, penetrating through the darkness. And that thought filled me with hope and led me to read from the Bible in the book of John chapter 1. I want to share what I read so I'll end with these verses.
"In him(Jesus) was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it....The true light(Jesus) that gives light to every man was coming into the world."
Jesus has come into the world and His light shines through the darkness!

It's a sad day....
when a jug of milk and loaf of bread cost $8. That's what my grandmother paid today and I had a hard time believing it. I opted for the loaf of potato bread which was on sale for $1.69 or maybe it was $1.59 instead of the non-sale 12 grain bread which was $3.99. A box of clementines went up to $5.99 when a week prior it was $4.99. What changed in a week to up the price by $1 beats me. I was happy to see gas prices going down. In my hometown it was $1.56/gallon. I hope they don't put taxes on gasoline to help repair the highways like they are talking of doing. On another note, I just had a hankering for warm chocolate chip cookies to go with a cold glass of milk, while I watched You Got Mail for the 10th time? It was a good thing.
